Medical device systems engineer and clinical program lead for active implantable and biosignal devices. I take neural recording systems from user needs and requirements to first-in-human data, and I make sure the evidence holds up.
I'm a bit of a duck: at home in water, on land and in the air. I analyze neural signals from scalp and subscalp EEG to ECoG and intracortical arrays, and deploy real-time machine-learning models in study sessions. I run patent landscapes and freedom-to-operate screening with patent counsel. And I build with agentic AI tools to automate design-controls work, with a human approving every change to the design history.
